———————————

There is little to say about this installation which cannot be seen in the iilustraciones that our dear Marta Menacho has created for us.

This time we want to celebrate the public space as a space for fun, in which we are not obligated to be just passing through or shopping, we want to be able to stay awhile, have some fun without having to buy something and express our opinions politely, either alone or in the company of others.

Now, here in Spain with the new Civil Security Law if they see a group of people simply stopping to look at a government building, they can be given a disproportionate fine or be arrested.

So for the Spanish public it is becoming a challenge to be able to celebrate in the space that has been limited to the commercial interests of a small number of people.

Let’s party!!!!!!!!!.

As a result, we have created an installation that is called Celebrating public spaces, and we propose to stick mirrors, like the knid used to construct disco balls, on all kinds of urban furniture, benches, fountains, lampposts, sidewalks, bollards… leaving the lights blowing in the wind, so that with their movement, flashes of light appear all over the place creating a truly festive atmosphere..

To carry out the installation, though, we’re going to have to mobilize a regiment to help us. Of course, the action will be completely removable. In the evening, visitors equipped with flashlights or headlamps can create their own reflections..
