text-align: left;\">Ver mapa m\u00e1s grande<\/a><\/small><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\">El escenario elegido para la intervenci\u00f3n fue la transitada fuente de la Plaza del Rey, anexa al <\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\">Ministerio de Cultura. <\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\">D<\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\">urante el d\u00eda, los alrededores de la fuente, son frecuentados por funcionarios del ministerio y por la noche se convertirse en zona de encuentro de los perros del barrio<\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\"><\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\">.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\"> <\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\">L<\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\">os fines de semana, cambia completamente de configuraci\u00f3n para albergar a j\u00f3venes haciendo botell\u00f3n, muchos de cuyos vasos y botellas van a parar a la fuente.<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\">Antes de empezar con la instalaci\u00f3n, tuvimos que despejar la fuente de gran cantidad de residuos pl\u00e1sticos, que se acumulaban sobre el hielo. Despu\u00e9s vino la lucha con las manos, que con gran empe\u00f1o se resist\u00edan a hundirse bajo el hielo.<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\"><br \/><\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\">Tardamos m\u00e1s de una hora en meterlas todas bajo los fr\u00edos bloques de hielo, que<\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\"><\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);\"> para pon\u00e9rnoslo m\u00e1s dif\u00edcil se deslizaban libremente cual iceberg a la deriva, sobre la superficie del agua.<\/p>\n<p>Y todo esto lo hicimos bajo la atenta mirada de las c\u00e1maras de vigilancia del Ministerio de Cultura. These hands with blue light fight to emerge to the surface from beneath the ice blocks.<br \/>The site we chose this time was the fountain in Plaza del Rey, close Culture Ministery in a centric square. During the day the place is visited by civil servants and during the night this is a meeting area for the dogs of the neighborhood On weekends it change completely and young people party and drink on the streets some plastic glasses are thrown into fountain.<br \/>Before we started with the installation we had to clean the fountain that was full of plastic glasses over the ice. After that it has hard work to get the hands in place as they resisted to stay under the ice.<\/p>\n<p>We took more than an hour to place them all under the frozen ice blocks that floated like icebergs over the water.<\/p>\n<p>We did this under the close surveillance of the Ministery of Culture security cameras in the nearly building. The security guards must have been taken by surprise!<\/p>\n<p>At 2.30 a.m.we left the installation as we had planned and having the photographs been taken we were ready sleep.<\/p>\n<p>It was highly probable that the night ice would be make ice thicker and the installation may last several days.<\/p>\n<p>As always <\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"font-size:100%;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.gustavosanabria.com\/\">Gustavo Sanabria<\/a><\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(255, 255, 255);font-size:100%;\" ><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\">, our photographer, was with us.
