display: block; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 267px;\" src=\"http:\/\/3.bp.blogspot.com\/_I5ft84bXkSc\/SrISpsSkymI\/AAAAAAAABf4\/asFmiGZp4J0\/s400\/IMG_4271.jpg\" alt=\"\" id=\"BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5382385012134169186\" border=\"0\" \/><\/a><br \/>Las obras, como ya hemos dicho, nos inspirar en nuestro trabajo, a veces tanto que nos gustar\u00eda meternos dentro y quedarnos tiempo mirando la tierra bajo el asfalto, las tuber\u00edas oxidadas, el material de obra, los efectos de las m\u00e1quinas sobre el suelo, el mobiliario urbano arrancado y abandonado&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Mientras las calles de Madrid a la ca\u00edda de la tarde, se convierten en un hervidero de gente, de tr\u00e1fico, de ruido, de consumo y de exceso de luz ambiental, las obras, a esas horas, siempre est\u00e1n tranquilas, son oscuras y huelen a tierra y a humedad, por lo que nuestra imaginaci\u00f3n las ha convertido en verdaderos templos de recogimiento urbano, en oasis de tranquilidad, en vac\u00edos \u00edntimos y algo t\u00e9tricos, donde aun es posible aislarse de todo.<\/p>\n<p>Y si las peque\u00f1as obras son como templos improvisados, que desaparecen para, al poco tiempo, volver a surgir en otro espacio, la de la calle Serrano, por su magnitud y espectacularidad, tambi\u00e9n por su duraci\u00f3n, se podr\u00edan considerar \u00abla catedral de las obras\u00bb.<\/p>\n<p>Esta calle es una de las m\u00e1s comerciales y extensas de la capital, la meca del lujo la alta costura y las tiendas de dise\u00f1o, pero lleva un a\u00f1o abierta, herida de muerte, con tremendas zanjas que de punta a punta penetran en el suelo, dividiendo la calle de manera sinuosa y convirtiendo el transito por ella, en pr\u00e1ctica de riesgo para los peatones.<\/p>\n<p>El aspecto de la zona, es el de una aut\u00e9ntica ciudad en guerra en la que las bombas se hubieran ensa\u00f1ado con el asfalto y aunque las luces de los escaparates intentan servir de reclamo para que la gente consuma, su brillo es apagado y triste, por el polvo que lo cubre todo.<\/p>\n<p>En este escenario, quisimos escenificar nuestra idea de \u00abobras como templos\u00bb y no fuimos con 50 velas rojas, que acoplamos a los maravillosos y retorcidos hierros que crec\u00edan en el forjado, convirti\u00e9ndolos en gigantescos y barrocos candelabros, que iluminaran tan \u00edntimo espacio. S\u00f3lo falt\u00f3 el incienso.<\/p>\n<p>La obra <span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 204, 51);\">Iluminacion para Templo Urbano<\/span>, fue llevada a cabo la madrugada del domingo 13 de septiembre, en la calle <a href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.es\/maps?f=q&amp;source=s_q&amp;hl=es&amp;geocode=&amp;q=calle+serrano+madrid&amp;sll=40.481785,-4.64726&amp;sspn=0.008242,0.01339&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;ll=40.426246,-3.687737&amp;spn=0.004124,0.006695&amp;z=17&amp;layer=c&amp;cbll=40.425764,-3.687789&amp;panoid=DIWWtEgBU-tDwDkJH7-5sQ&amp;cbp=12,343.9,,0,-3.37\">Serrano<\/a>, una pena tener que irnos tan r\u00e1pido, porque el ambiente que se creo, fue de lo m\u00e1s acogedor, pero la vigilancia&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Como siempre <a href=\"http:\/\/www.flickr.com\/photos\/sanabria-\/\">Gustavo Sanabria<\/a> hizo las fotos, arriesg\u00e1ndose al m\u00e1ximo.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-style: italic; color: rgb(255, 255, 255);font-size:85%;\" >Tiempo de instalaci\u00f3n: 1 hora.<br \/>Da\u00f1os ocasionados: 0.<br \/>Permanencia de la intervenci\u00f3n: \u00bf?.<\/p>\n<p><\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\">&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;&#8212;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\">The Works, as we have said other times, inspire our work.  Sometimes we are so absorbed that we would like to be inside and remain some time staring at the earth under the tarred surface, the rusted pipelines, the works material, the effect the machines on the ground, the pulled-up urban furniture forsaken here and there.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\"> <\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\"> In the meantime the streets in Madrid as the day draws to its end are a seething mass of people, swarmed by cars, with noise, shopping and an excess of lights all around. The works at this time are always quiet, and dark, and smell of wet earth. This is why our imagination has turned them into real temples for urban withdrawal, an oasis of tranquility, of intimate voids and somewhat gloomy, where you can isolate yourself from the world. <\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\"> <\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\"> And if the small street works are improvised temples, which disappear soon to reappear further away, Calle Serrano\u00b4s  should be considered, due to its size and spectacular dimension, but also for its duration, the \u201ccathedral of street works\u201d.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\"> <\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\"> It is one of the most important and largest shopping districts in the capital, the Mecca for luxury, high fashion and design stores.  Unfortunately it has been dug up for a year,  seriously wounded, with massive ditches, from one end to the other of the street, dividing it in winding alleys and making passing by a risky business for pedestrians.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\"> <\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\"> The area looks as if it was a city at war in which bombs have fallen on the road and although shop window spotlights try to lure people to  buy, their brightness is subdued and sad owing to the dust covering everything.<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\"> <\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\">This is the stage where we wanted to set up our idea of \u201cWorks<br \/>\nlike temples\u201d and there we placed 50 red candles on marvelous, baroque iron bars growing from the concrete beds. Gigantic and baroque candelabra shining over an intimate corner. Only incense was missing\u2026<\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\"> <\/span><br \/><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\">The installation <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: bold; color: rgb(255, 153, 0);\">\u201cLighting for an Urban Temple\u201d<\/span><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\"> was carried out on the early morning on 13th September in <\/span><a style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\" href=\"http:\/\/maps.google.es\/maps?f=q&amp;source=s_q&amp;hl=es&amp;geocode=&amp;q=calle+serrano+madrid&amp;sll=40.481785,-4.64726&amp;sspn=0.008242,0.01339&amp;ie=UTF8&amp;ll=40.426246,-3.687737&amp;spn=0.004124,0.006695&amp;z=17&amp;layer=c&amp;cbll=40.425764,-3.687789&amp;panoid=DIWWtEgBU-tDwDkJH7-5sQ&amp;cbp=12,343.9,,0,-3.37\">Serrano<\/a><span style=\"color: rgb(153, 153, 153);\"> Street.
