The Cultural Section of the Embassy of Spain in Washington D.C.<\/a> has invited us to elaborate a piece on the human right to water for their 2019 cultural program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bearing in mind the most typical elements used by every culture to carry water especially in those areas where it is scarce, we have proposed to them the idea of creating a fountain solely built with buckets that are used to \u201cgo and fetch water.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

These lighted buckets will carry water from the top of the fountain using a pump and a closed circuit to this end so water will not be wasted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We have designed two versions of the same idea: one in the form of a classic fountain, and another one in the form of a waterfall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will, of course, use recycled plastic buckets. However, if this is not possible, and as the US is hard on the question of recycled materials, once the piece is dismantled, we will return all the plastic to the bucket factory\u2019s supply chain so the piece will not produce any plastic waste.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This piece will be in display in Washington D.C. next May, at the Former Spanish Embassy<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La Oficina Cultura de Espa\u00f1a en USA<\/a>, nos propone llevar a cabo una nueva pieza sobre el derecho universal al agua, para su programa cultural del 2019.
<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pensando en los elementos mas comunes usados para transportar agua en todas las culturas, sobre todo en lugares d\u00f3nde esta escasea, les hemos propuesto crear una fuente, en la que el \u00fanico elemento de construcci\u00f3n ser\u00e1n los mas b\u00e1sicos cubos \u00abde ir a buscar el agua\u00bb.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Los cubos, iluminados, transportar\u00e1n el agua desde lo alto de la fuente usando para ello una bomba y un circuito cerrado, con el que se conseguir\u00e1 que el agua no se desperdicie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hemos dise\u00f1ado dos versiones de la misma idea, una en formato fuente cl\u00e1sica, y otra recreando una cascada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Por supuesto, buscaremos cubos de pl\u00e1stico reciclados, pero si no es posible, America es dura en esto de los materiales reciclados, haremos que una vez desmontada la pieza todo el pl\u00e1stico vuelva al circuito de producci\u00f3n de la f\u00e1brica de cubos, con lo que la pieza no generar\u00e1 nada de basura pl\u00e1stica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

La pieza se podr\u00e1 ver el pr\u00f3ximo mes de mayo en Washington, en la sede de la Antigua Embajada Espa\u00f1ola<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
