Instalaci\u00f3n con luz de Luzinterruptus en la calle Larios para La Noche en Blanco de M\u00e1laga 2010.<\/p>\n

El r\u00edo que nos lleva… calle abajo…<\/span> as\u00ed llamamos a la instalaci\u00f3n que realizamos el d\u00eda 15 de mayo y que fue pensada en base a la tem\u00e1tica elegida para todo el evento… \u201cel agua\u201d<\/p>\n

La idea:<\/span> quer\u00edamos llevar el l\u00edquido elemento a una de las calles principales de la ciudad, de forma metaf\u00f3rica claro. Para ello, dise\u00f1amos un peque\u00f1o riachuelo, fabricado con hojas de colores similares a los tonos del agua, azul, turquesa y verde.<\/p>\n

Estas hojas, colocadas de forma casual, formaban un peque\u00f1o camino continuo de agua, que discurrir\u00e1 por medio de la calle hasta llegar al final, donde se convert\u00eda en un peque\u00f1o lago circular, formado por una concentraci\u00f3n masiva de hojas.<\/p>\n

A lo largo de todo el trayecto, unos 1.300 peces de papel transparente de tono met\u00e1lico y de distintos tama\u00f1os, construidos con un patr\u00f3n de papiroflexia e iluminados desde el interior, segu\u00edan el curso del riachuelo hasta desembocar en el lago. La instalaci\u00f3n ocup\u00f3 toda la calle Larios uno 350 metros.<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s convertimos el color amarillento de las farolas en azul verdoso, con lo que la calle se vio completamente impregnada de reflejos del agua.<\/p>\n

La idea era que la gente que pasara por la calle conviviera con la instalaci\u00f3n en su recorrido por la ciudad y que al final de la noche, todos los peces con luz fueran regalados a los peatones, de manera que la instalaci\u00f3n se reciclase por s\u00ed misma y no quedase nada de ella.<\/p>\n

La instalaci\u00f3n fue realizada artesanalmente y con materiales de lo m\u00e1s b\u00e1sicos, en el estilo h\u00e1galo usted mismo, que tanto nos gusta.<\/p>\n

Pretend\u00edamos volver la vista atr\u00e1s y recordar un hecho especial de nuestra infancia, en la que en fechas se\u00f1aladas, riachuelos de agua corr\u00edan por las calles de los pueblos, haciendo las delicias de los ni\u00f1os que sal\u00edamos a la calle a jugar, como si del m\u00e1s divertido parque acu\u00e1tico se tratara.<\/p>\n

Tambi\u00e9n quer\u00edamos recapacitar sobre los gastos que supone la construcci\u00f3n de ostentosas fuentes que sirven para embellecer plazas pero con las que los ciudadanos, sobre todo los ni\u00f1os, no pueden interactuar y jugar.<\/p>\n

Cuanto m\u00e1s divertidos eran esos tiempos en los que el agua corr\u00eda por las calles y nosotros nos descalz\u00e1bamos para chapotear en ella\u2026<\/p>\n

El resultado:<\/span> demasiado ef\u00edmero, tanto que, cuando empezamos a quitar las primeras vallas que acotaban la zona mientras trabaj\u00e1bamos, las personas que estaban esperando en la zona, pensaron que ya era hora de hacerse con los peces con luz y dos minuto despu\u00e9s de levantar la primera barrear, ya no quedaba ni un pez, ni una luz en la calle.<\/p>\n

La interactuaci\u00f3n con la pieza fue, por decirlo de alguna manera, fulminante…<\/p>\n

Light installation by Luzinterruptus in Larios Street for The white Night in Malaga 2010.<\/span><\/p>\n

The river that takes us…down the road…<\/span> this is how we called the installation we put up on the 15th May and was conceived taking \u00abwater\u00bb into consideration as it was chosen for the whole event.<\/span><\/p>\n

The idea:<\/span> we wanted to offer the liquid element to one of the main streets in the city, metaphorically speaking that is. For this reason, we designed a stream, made with colourful leaves with similar tones like water: blue, torquoise and green.<\/span>
<\/span>
These sheets of paper -arranged in a casual way- showed the small path leading the way in the middle of the street to the end, where it turned into a large circular lake absolutely full of leaves. <\/span><\/p>\n

All along the stream, about 1,300 translucid paper fish in metallic colours and different sizes made out from origami patterns. They had light inside and followed the flow of water pouring into the lake. The installation covered all Larios street, about 350 metres in length.<\/span>
<\/span>
We also changed the yellow light from lamp-posts into greenish blue and this allowed us to create the effect of the water having reflexes…. here and there. <\/span><\/p>\n

What we had in mind is that people walking down the street would experience the installation all the way along the city street and that it would last all night. All the fishes with their corresponding light would be given away to pedestrians so that it would recycle itself and would leave nothing behind. <\/span><\/p>\n

The installation was carried out by hand and using raw materials such as the DIY\u00b4s, which we like so much.<\/span><\/p>\n

Our intention was to look back and remember a special event in our childhood, when o<\/p>\n

n special occasions, streams flowed down the streets through many villages. They made village children, who were out playing, go crazy about the seemingly amusing water park. <\/span><\/p>\n

We also wanted to people to reconsider the huge cost of building ostentatious fountains -which embellish squares but prevent its citizens, especially children, from interacting and playing in them. <\/span><\/p>\n

The more amusing were the times when water run down the streets and we took off our shoes in order to splash and jump in it…<\/span>
<\/span>
The result:<\/span> too ephimerous. To the point that when we started removing the first fences which encircled the area where we worked, the people around thought that it was the right time to get some lighting fish for themselves. Two minutes afterwards, there was not a fish left or a light in the street.<\/span><\/p>\n

Interacting with the installation was, so to speak, so sudden as lighting…<\/span><\/p>\n

Time of installation: 11 hours <\/span>\u00b1<\/span> 100 hour making fish.<\/span><\/span>
