Rain Interactive in Taiwan / Lluvia interactiva en Taiwán
Last July, we went to Kaohsiung, Taiwan, invited by Pier-2 Art Center, to carry out our piece Rain interactive.
We placed it in 2 exterior hallways and used 2,500 illuminated condoms. We spent 14 days to set it up. More than 20 volunteers helped us carry out the work with alacrity despite the heat and the night hours.
As in previous occasions, we wanted to bring attention to the real value of water, this time in a country that has suffered severe droughts and whose agriculture strongly depends on irrigation.
This was an ephemeral piece exhibited for only 2 nights as the heat did not allow to keep it any longer.
We want to thank our dear volunteers without whom we would not have been able to carry out this piece. Also the entire Pier-2 team who, apart from getting involved in the construction, has looked after all our needs and has hosted us and accommodated us at their center as the best hosts in the world. Special thanks to Cheng whose endeavor made all this possible.

El pasado mes de julio, nos fuimos a Kaohsiung, Taiwan, invitados por el Pier-2 Art Center, para llevar a cabo nuestra pieza Lluvia Interactiva.
La situamos en 2 zonas exteriores de paso y usamos unos 2.500 condones iluminados. Tardamos 14 días en montarla, en los que estuvimos acompañados de mas de 20 voluntarios que trabajaron animosamente a pesar del calor y la horas nocturnas.
Como las veces anteriores, quisimos llamar la atención sobre el valor real del agua, esta vez en un país que ha sufrido importantes sequías y cuya agricultura depende del extensivo regadío de sus campos.
Fue una pieza efímera que se pudo disfrutar 2 noches, ya que el calor no nos permitió mantenerla durante más tiempo.
Queremos dar las gracias a nuestros queridos voluntarios sin cuya ayuda no hubiera sido posible sacar adelante la pieza. A todo el equipo de Pier-2 que además de involucrase en la construcción, has estado atentos a todas nuestras necesidades y que nos han acogido y alojado en su centro como los mejores anfitriones del mundo. Gracias especiales a Cheng sin cuyo empeño nada hubiera salido adelante.
