Andando sobre la lluvia / Walking in the rain
Nuestra última y modesta instalación, nos ha servido para celebra que en Madrid por fin ha llovido, después de un caluroso verano, en el que no había caído ni una gota de agua.
Los días previos a nuestra salida nocturna, la atmósfera estaba alarmantemente sobrecargada, el otoño no llegaba, las hojas no caían de los árboles y las alarmas sobre contaminación ambiental andaban disparadas anunciando graves peligros para la salud pública.
Y es que Madrid incumple descaradamente la legislación europea sobre calidad del aire y los que tienen las competencias sobre el tema, en vez de pensar en cómo solucionarlo, se dedican a pedir moratorias, para no tener que enfrentarse por el momento a este problema, que además puede llevarnos directos al Tribunal de Luxemburgo.
El día 26 de octubre, las nubes por fin aparecieron en el cielo, descargando sobre la ciudad todo el agua acumulada durante nuestro largo verano y dejando a su paso un cielo limpio y un aire algo más respirable.
Caminado bajo la lluvia llegamos al Parque del Oeste donde montamos nuestra instalación Sin contaminación, por un rato, con 50 botas de agua que pusimos a pasear por la húmeda vegetación.
SImplemente queríamos animar con nuestras luces, a que la gente se calzara las botas, echara a andar y dejara el coche aparcado, por lo menos mientras la lluvia se encargaba de reducir un poco los niveles de contaminación.
Acabamos mojados pero contentos y con los pulmones llenos de un aire más puro.

Our latest, modest installation, has served to celebrate the fact that it has finally rained in Madrid after a hot summer, in which not a drop of rain had fallen.
In the days leading up to our nighttime outing, the atmosphere was alarmingly overloaded, autumn had not arrived, the leaves were not falling off the trees and the environmental pollution alarms were going off constantly proclaiming serious dangers to public health.
Madrid blatantly violates European legislation on air quality and those that have the power to deal with the issue, instead of thinking about how to solve the problem, dedicate themselves to calling for moratoriums, to avoid having to face this problem right now, which could take us directly to the Courts in Luxembourg.
On October 26th, the clouds finally appeared in the sky, dropping all of the water accumulated during our long summer on the city and leaving in its wake a clean sky and somewhat more breathable air.
Walking in the rain we arrived at Parque del Oeste where we assembled our installation Without Pollution, at least for a while, with 50 rain boots which we set to walking through the wet vegetation.
With our lights we just wanted to encourage people to put on their boots, to go out for a walk and leave the car parked, at least while the rain was reducing pollution levels a little.
We finished up wet but happy, with our lungs full of cleaner air.
