Really wishing to carry out this piece that we conceived back in 2021 as we were just leaving the pandemic behind. It sums up our work philosophy which lies far from technology and special effects. We have also tried to improve it visually to make it easier to understand.

As we have just said, technology is not our thing. It seems unusual since our activity is so directly involved with its advancement. However, we cannot really think of anything we can do with it. So we are stoically still looking at simple stuff that stirs feelings in us, as well as our critical thinking, our attention, our social commitment or our recollection of moments where we feel happy.

Have you ever wished you were kids and you were running free amid hanging fresh laundry that is flapping in the wind? This scene has been recreated so many times by artists from every discipline that we do not want to be left out. So what we propose is to reproduce this dreamlike moment so that it may be experienced over and over in places where this would be impossible without our intervention.

To build our Hanging Landscapes, we would put up a huge clothesline full of lighted bedsheets swayed by the wind and a bit of help. They would be arranged in rows with paths that people could venture and get lost in. They could also spend some time in there and feel their caress and clean smell.

We picture this installation in the middle of a landscape destroyed by human action or perhaps in an emblematic place of a city or in an urban park where people normally go to enjoy nature… All suggestions are welcome.

We are certain that, thanks to the white cotton, the light, the wind, and the smell of clean clothes, we could change people’s perception of space and take them to former times where life was kinder and bedsheets hung under the sun and were dried by the wind.

However, if we think about it… a clothesline employs cutting-edge technology – a perfect combination of solar and wind energy ;).

Master Angelopoulos visualized this idea for us. We have adapted it to our light-filled style.

Muchas ganas de llevar a cabo esta pieza que ideamos en el 2021 recién salidos de la pandemia, en la que se resume nuestra filosofía de trabajo, alejada de sofisticadas tecnologías y efectos especiales y que hemos querido mejorar visualmente con la idea de hacerla más entendible.

Como ya hemos dicho, la tecnología no es lo nuestro, parece mentira ya que nos dedicamos a una actividad tan directamente relacionada con sus avances, pero no se nos ocurre nada realmente bueno que hacer con ella. Así que estoicamente, seguimos dando vueltas a cosas simples que nos provocan sentimientos, pensamientos críticos, atención, compromiso social o recuerdos de momentos en los que nos sentimos felices.

¿Nunca habéis deseado ser niños y correr libres entre ropa tendida ondeando al viento?… Tantas veces ha sido recreada esta escena por artistas de todas las disciplinas que nosotros no queremos ser menos y nos proponemos reproducir este onírico momento para que se pueda vivir una y otra vez en entornos en los que sería imposible que esto ocurriera sin nuestra intervención.

Para Paisajes Tendidos construiríamos un grandísimo tendedero lleno de sábanas iluminadas y movidas por el viento, o con un poco de ayuda. Estarían colocadas en filas, con pasillos por los que la gente se pudiera internar hasta perderse, pasar tiempo entre ellas, y sentir su caricia y su olor a limpio.

Nos las imaginamos instaladas por ejemplo, en un paisaje deteriorado por la acción del hombre o quizás en un espacio emblemática de una gran urbe o en un parque urbano en el que la gente suela ir a disfrutar del contacto con la naturaleza… se admiten sugerencias…

Estamos seguros que gracias al algodón blanco, la luz, el viento y el olor a ropa limpia, lograríamos cambiar la percepción del espacio y transportar a los visitantes a tiempos pretéritos en los que vida era más amable y las sábanas se blanqueaban al sol, y se secaban al viento.

Aunque bien pensado… un tendedero utiliza lo último en tecnología, una combinación perfecta de energía solar y eólica ;).

El maestro Angelopoulos nos visualizó la idea, y nosotros la hemos adaptado a nuestro interés lumínico.
